Q&A
Q&A
when do you feel most like yourself?

I love wearing the most ugly, random, comfy outfit with no makeup, hair pulled back, so I can be challenged in my beauty and my spirit can be more visible than my glamour. I feel less expectation to be fabulous, and it makes me feel like life is so simple and beauty is simple.

Which parts of yourself do you love?

I love my ability to change and adapt. I like always living a different day because I want to have a really full and exciting life. I’m passionate about being brave in everything that I create and being brave in love.

What’s your favourite thing to do when no one’s watching?

I like to really look at myself in the mirror and study myself, and really seriously learn how to admire myself. I love the study of self.

How can movement change the way women relate to their bodies?

I think everyone should practice it. It’s not about how good it looks. It’s a great way to reclaim your energy and transmute anything that’s been stagnant, especially in the womb area. It’s our creation portal, and we should always feel like we’re in our power.

Where does dance take you that nothing else can?

Dancing, more than anything, is my most reliable connection to spirit and the divine, where I can get into a transmeditative state, where it’s almost like nothing is there. Nothingness is kind of everything.
