Currently Reading

I’m usually in between 2 to 3 books at any given time. Right now, I’m reading the final book of Elena Ferrante’s Neapolitan Quartet, My Brilliant Friend and Haruki Murakami’s Norwegian Wood.

Currently Inspired By

My friendships, particularly that I love appreciating their growth and change and deepening over time. There’s nothing better than growing up with your friends.

I travelled to...

Spain and France

Why Spain & France?

I’ve been going every summer and it feels so special to have a place to return to again and again.

Favorite place I visited:

San Sebastian, one of my favorite cities. It’s nestled perfectly between the sea and mountains.

I’m grateful I had time to..

Return to a place I love with people I love.

Did your adventure shift your perspective in any way?

I think about travel as an opportunity to feel differently in various places and to explore what that means for what’s possible in life. Maybe that can be because of something simple, like the time you eat dinner or how you dress for certain places, but it’s a beautiful reminder that there’s more to experience in my life than the bubble and pace of New York.

Before this trip, I had never...

Been who I am this summer

Best thing I ate...

Anchovies and butter on toast, at least once a day

I’m coming home with...

Too many antique linen bedspreads, pillowcases, and nightdresses from my favorite brocante in Biarritz. In the years before, I’ve traveled home with chairs, a lamp, small tables. You will get strange looks.

Some memories I will treasure are...

Afternoon lunches turning into dinners turning into dance parties. The cold ocean of the north feeling like it fixes everything.
